Who we are
Ocean Sky (Reflection.Space) is run by Solidus Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN 90 624 143 666), New Farm QLD 4005, Australia. We're responsible for the personal information collected through this site. Contact: studio@oceansky.space.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email, phone (if given), billing and delivery addresses, and what you bought.
- Giftee details: the name and delivery address of each person you send a gift to, and their email only if you choose to give it to us (it's optional on our delivery page) or to share their gift page with them.
- Gift messages: voice recordings and written messages you create for Gift Edition orders.
- Mailing list: your email address if you sign up to our mailing list. Our mailing list is run on Beehiiv.
- Basic technical data, such as your browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site working and secure. We count visits to improve the site, without identifying you.
Payments
Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We don't see or store your full card details. Shopify's own privacy policy applies to the checkout.
How we use it
- To process, pack and deliver your order, including writing each gift's unique link to its NFC chip.
- To send order, recording, reminder and shipping emails.
- To show each giftee their message.
- To send mailing list emails, only if you've signed up. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link (through Beehiiv).
- To prevent misuse of the site (for example spam limits).
Gift messages and NFC links
- Each gift has its own unique, private link, written to an NFC chip in the gift. Tapping the chip opens a page with that gift's message.
- Anyone who has the chip or the link can open the page, so please only share the link with the person it's meant for.
- Gift pages are not listed publicly or searchable on our site. Recordings are kept in private storage and only played through the gift page.
- By recording a message, you confirm you're happy for it to be shown to the giftee and anyone they share the link with.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the shop: Shopify (orders and payments), our website and database hosting (Lovable Cloud), our email provider Resend (order, recording and reminder emails), Beehiiv (mailing list) and the tracked delivery service we use to deliver your order. We don't sell your personal information.
Where your information is stored
- Our website database and gift recordings are hosted in Australia (Sydney).
- Some personal information is stored or processed overseas by our service providers:
- Shopify (orders, customer details and payments): Canada, the United States and other countries where Shopify operates.
- Resend (our site emails): stored in the United States, and sent via Japan.
- Beehiiv (our mailing list): the United States.
- We take reasonable steps, including relying on their data processing agreements, so these providers handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How long we keep it
- Order records: 5 years, for tax and legal reasons.
- Voice and text messages: as long as the gift page is live, then deleted.
- Gift pages: for the period set out in our Terms.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or ask us to remove a gift message, by emailing studio@oceansky.space. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
